OCA in dark about Raju resignation

Orissa Cricket Association today officially today denied receiving any communication from Venkatpathy Raju about his resignation as the chief coach of the State Ranji team. ``OCA has not received any official communication from Raju about his leave or resignation. The state team is now managing itself under the guidance of coach Abakash Khatua. Raju has left OCA in the lurch,`` OCA secretary Asirbad Behera clarified. Responding to media reports that Raju had sent his resignation letter to OCA president Ranjib Biswal, Behera said: ``As the executive head of the association, I am yet to receive any communication from Raju. He left the team after the fifth match at Delhi without informing the association.`` Earlier yesterday, former India spinner and National selector Raju announced his resignation at Hyderabad, his native city, citing personal ground as the reason. But agency report from Kolkata claimed that Raju was upset over too much interference in the selection matter. Both the reports, however, quoted Raju as saying that demands of his position as a key administrative member of the Hyderabad Cricket Association forced him to relinquish the job in Orissa.
